Your Shortcut to the Right Nursing Program.

The journey to becoming a nurse is exciting, but the process of finding the right school can be overwhelming. Before we launched ABSNPrograms.org, aspiring nurses had to spend dozens of hours clicking through hundreds of university webpages, digging through PDFs, and hunting for elusive tuition rates and clinical requirements.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Who We Are

ABSNPrograms.org is currently the only online resource that provides a comprehensive summary of every Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in the United States. We are experts in data collection and organization, specializing in the nuances of nursing education.

Our mission is simple: To provide prospective students with a transparent, one-stop shop for program comparisons.

The “ABSN Programs” Advantage

Why spend days researching when you can find everything you need in minutes? Here is how we make your school selection process easier:

  • Everything on One Page: We’ve done the heavy lifting for you. Our school profiles consolidate the most critical data—including tuition costs, clinical schedules, and specific admission requirements—into a single, easy-to-read layout. No more navigating through ten different tabs on a university website to find one answer.
  • State-by-State Comparisons: Our dedicated state pages allow you to view all local programs side-by-side, making it easy to compare your options geographically and financially.
  • Data Accuracy: We pride ourselves on being experts in gathering information. We systematically track down the details that matter most to students, ensuring our database is the most organized and reliable resource on the web.

Why It Matters

Choosing a nursing program is one of the biggest financial and professional decisions you will ever make. By saving you time during the research phase, we allow you to focus on what really matters: preparing for your future career in healthcare.

Whether you are looking for the most affordable program, the fastest path to graduation, or a school that fits your specific clinical needs, we are here to help you find your perfect match.

Fresh Data You Can Trust

At ABSNPrograms.org, we know that nursing education moves fast. Application deadlines shift, tuition rates fluctuate, and admission requirements are constantly evolving. That’s why we don’t just set it and forget it.

Our dedicated team updates our school pages on a weekly basis. We proactively monitor university announcements and cross-reference our profiles with the latest institutional data to ensure that when you see a tuition figure or a clinical requirement on our site, it reflects the current reality. While other directories might show you data from two years ago, we pride ourselves on being the most up-to-date resource available, giving you the confidence to make decisions based on the most recent information.

1. Direct Source Monitoring

We don’t rely on third-party databases or outdated brochures. Our team monitors official University portals and Department of Nursing handbooks directly. We also track updates from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and individual State Boards of Nursing to ensure our program lists and NCLEX pass rates remain accurate.

2. The Weekly Audit Cycle

Information in the nursing world changes fast. To combat “data decay,” we implement a weekly update cycle. Each week, our researchers audit a segment of our database, cross-referencing our profiles against the latest school announcements regarding:

  • Tuition & Fees: Capturing new semester rates and hidden clinical fees.
  • Admission Requirements: Tracking changes in GPA minimums or prerequisite needs.
  • Clinical Placements: Updating information on where students actually gain their hands-on experience.

3. Human-Verified Aggregation

While we use technology to help us spot changes, every update on our site is reviewed by a data specialist. We take complex, multi-page university websites and “translate” them into our standardized, one-page format. This human touch ensures that nuances—like the difference between “total program cost” and “tuition per credit”—are clearly explained to our users.

About Our Rankings

After gathering all available data about the programs, we use the model below to score the programs.

100-Point Scoring Model

FactorPointsLogic
Cost
0–40
Scaled: lowest cost = 40 pts, highest = 0 pts, others proportional
Duration
0–20
≤12 months = 20, 13–14 months = 15, 15 months = 10, 16+ months = 0
NCLEX Pass Rate Cited
0–20
Specific rate cited = 20, vague reference = 10, none = 0
Clinical Placement Help
0–10
Named partner hospitals or formal placement system = 10, implied = 5, none = 0
Rolling/Flexible Admissions
0–10
Multiple start dates or rolling = 10, one annual start = 0

Why this weighting:

  • Cost dominates (40 pts) since it’s the most practical differentiator for students
  • Duration gets significant weight (20 pts) since ABSN students are career-changers valuing speed
  • NCLEX rate (20 pts) signals outcome quality but only if data is actually cited
  • Clinical placement (10 pts) and admissions flexibility (10 pts) are useful but secondary

Notes: If we thnk the audience skews more toward career-changers on a budget, we might bump cost to 50 and drop duration to 15. When targeting students who want more quality signals, then we may bump NCLEX to 25 and drop cost to 35.
